Tijuana Straits

Like most of Kem Nunn`s novels, surfing is part of the atmosphere of TIJUANA STRAITS. His hero Sam Fahey`s background includes surfing, among other things (some much less savory), and the novel is set in Southern California. The story begins with a Mexican activist named Magdalena, who has been beaten nearly to death for her efforts on behalf of the environment. Fahey rescues her from her tormentors, and begins a long cycle of redemptive behavior that will culminate in a series of scenes that lend the novel the label literary thriller.
